This accessory is perfect for those who like to cook delicate dishes that need a slow, low heat as the simmer plate evenly distributes heat under the pan. The cast iron Simmer Plate also helps to stop food sticking to the bottom of the pan and simply sits on top of the ILVE burner of your choice. Why do you need a Simmer Plate? A simmer plate helps to distribute the heat from your burners and radiate consistent lower temperature.
