Cabinet Returns & Damage Policy

This policy applies to kitchen cabinet, pantry, wall, base, and related cabinet orders purchased from Home Comforts Depot.

Cabinet Returns

Eligible return requests must be submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery and require written return authorization before anything is shipped back.

  • Cabinets must be unopened, unassembled, uninstalled, unmodified, in resalable condition, and in the original packaging.
  • Eligible cabinet returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  • The customer is responsible for return freight unless the return is due to a confirmed Home Comforts Depot fulfillment error.
  • Original outbound cabinet freight charges are non-refundable.
  • Do not send a cabinet return without authorization and return instructions.

Non-Returnable Cabinet Items

Assembled, installed, altered, modified, damaged-after-delivery, custom, or special-order cabinetry is not returnable. Fillers, finished panels, moldings, toe kicks, touch-up products, specialty accessories, and other cut-to-fit or finishing items are final sale unless the item was shipped incorrectly or a damage claim is approved.

Damage, Shortage, or Freight Claims

Damage and shortage claims are handled separately from standard returns and are not subject to a restocking fee when approved.

  • Inspect and count the shipment before signing the delivery receipt.
  • Note visible damage or shortages on the Bill of Lading or delivery receipt.
  • Take clear photos of the shipment, labels, packaging, damaged area, and signed delivery receipt.
  • Keep all packaging and do not assemble or install a damaged cabinet until the claim is reviewed.
  • Unless specifically instructed otherwise by Home Comforts Depot or the carrier, accept the shipment and document the damage rather than refusing the entire order.

Report concealed damage, shortages, or missing items as soon as possible after delivery, preferably within 48 hours, to info@homecomfortsdepot.com with your order number and photos. Carrier and supplier claim deadlines may apply, so prompt reporting is important.

When appropriate, an approved claim may be resolved by replacing the affected door, drawer, panel, component, or cabinet rather than replacing the entire order.

Order Changes & Cancellations

Cabinet order changes or cancellations should be requested as soon as possible. A change or cancellation can only be accepted without additional fees if the order has not yet been released to the warehouse or supplier. Once an order has been released, packed, or shipped, restocking, handling, return freight, or other applicable charges may apply.

Design Review & Measurements

Free design review is based on measurements, appliance specifications, and other information supplied by the customer. The customer remains responsible for verifying field dimensions, site conditions, appliance clearances, plumbing, electrical, structural conditions, and local code or permit requirements before ordering or installation.
