ILVE Nostalgie II Noblesse 48 inch Dual Fuel Range in Blue Grey with Brass trim
Kitchen Appliances

Updated October 1, 2026.

Choose an ILVE Nostalgie or Majestic by the exact generation, fuel type, oven controls and installation drawing. Both families use classic Italian styling, and their differences extend beyond handles and colors. A Majestic II specification should not be treated as a Majestic III specification.

Start with Nostalgie II, Majestic II or Majestic III

The examples below are three 36-inch dual-fuel models: Nostalgie II UP36FNMPWHG, Majestic II UM09FDNS3WHC and Majestic III UM36FNR3WHG. All have a natural-gas cooktop and electric oven. The Nostalgie II and Majestic III examples are White with Brass trim; the Majestic II example is White with Chrome trim. Compare matching trim quotations when evaluating price.

ILVE currently lists both Majestic II and Majestic III model documents, alongside Nostalgie II. Check the full SKU on the quotation, including gas type, door, color and trim. Generation names identify the model family, but the full model specification determines what you receive.

Sources: ILVE's Nostalgie II UP36FNMPWHG, Majestic II UM09FDNS3WHC and Majestic III UM36FNR3WHG pages. These are model-specific comparisons, not guarantees for every appliance in a series. Higher maximum burner output alone does not establish better overall cooking performance.

Which design details should you compare?

Nostalgie combines a retro appearance with choices such as Noblesse framing and solid doors on eligible configurations. Majestic also uses rounded forms and decorative detailing; it should not be described as an inherently minimalist or legless range. The available leg, plinth, handrail and trim arrangement needs to be checked on the selected model and included accessories.

Color and trim availability varies with the order configuration. Compare physical samples when an exact cabinet or hardware match matters: screen images are approximations. These existing examples show different Nostalgie configurations, rather than interchangeable finishes on one appliance.

Fuel choice: dual fuel is not the only option

The series name does not mean every ILVE range uses gas. The 36-inch Nostalgie II UPI366NMPWHG is an all-electric induction model with six cooking elements. It is a different appliance from UP36FNMPWHG, despite the similar name and White/Brass finish. Majestic also has induction configurations; select the exact generation and SKU rather than assuming the dual-fuel specifications apply.

For a broader fuel comparison, see our gas, dual-fuel and induction guide. Check cookware compatibility and the electrical requirements of an induction model before replacing a gas range.

A nominal 36-inch range is not an installation drawing

The two II-generation product pages list different body dimensions: UP36FNMPWHG is 35 3/4 inches wide and 27 inches deep; UM09FDNS3WHC is 35 7/8 inches wide and 29 inches deep. Those listing dimensions are not cabinet cutout requirements. Use the exact installation drawing to check countertop height, handle projection, door travel, side and overhead clearances, ventilation and delivery access.

Retrieve the correct documents through ILVE's download center. Dual-fuel and induction configurations have different electrical loads. Give the model's current installation manual to the installer before deciding on gas supply, circuit capacity, anti-tip installation or hood configuration. Do not choose a circuit or hood solely from the series name or a generic BTU rule.

Browse ILVE ranges and ILVE wall-mount hoods. Hood selection still depends on the chosen range, mounting clearances and duct route.

Wider ranges need a separate comparison

A 48- or 60-inch configuration can change burner layout, French Top availability and oven arrangement. The illustrated UP60FSQNMPWHG is a 60-inch Nostalgie II with a solid door, seven burners, griddle and French Top. Its configuration should not be inferred from the 36-inch table.

Choose the features you will use

Consider Nostalgie II when its control layout and customization options suit your cooking and kitchen design. Compare Majestic when touch controls and the exact model's oven or drawer functions matter to you. Ask for a current quotation for the full SKU, included accessories, shipping terms and delivery estimate. A product listing does not promise immediate stock availability.

Send your floor plan, cabinet opening, utility details and preferred models through our free online appliance fit check. We can help narrow the product options; the installer should confirm the final installation requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Are Nostalgie and Majestic differences only cosmetic?

No. The compared models differ in oven controls, maximum burner output and listed depth. Compare the complete specification of the models you are ordering.

Can I use a Majestic II manual for Majestic III?

Use the manual that matches the exact SKU and generation. The II and III names identify different product generations.

Does Majestic have no legs?

Do not assume that. Check the selected model's support, plinth and accessory arrangement and its installation drawing.
